Choose the right vaccination route
We offer NHS COVID-19 vaccination for eligible patients and private vaccination following a suitability assessment. Call our team to check current appointments, age suitability and vaccine availability.
Who can use our adult NHS COVID-19 vaccination service?
England · autumn/winter 2026 programme · checked 10 October 2026
For our service at Ise Pharmacy, adults aged 18 or over must meet at least one of these NHS criteria:
- Age 75 or over, including anyone who will turn 75 by 31 January 2027.
- Age 18 to 74 years with immunosuppression caused by a health condition or treatment.
- Living in a care home for older adults.
What does “immunosuppressed” mean?
It means your body’s defence against infections is weaker than usual because of an illness or treatment. Examples that may qualify include:
- Blood cancers, now or in the past — including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, which affect blood cells or the tissues that produce them.
- A transplant — such as a donated kidney or liver, or a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.
- HIV — a virus that affects the cells which help your body fight infection.
- Inherited immune conditions — conditions you are born with that stop your immune system working properly.
- Certain cancer treatments — including chemotherapy, some targeted medicines and radiotherapy that weaken immunity.
- Medicines that reduce immune activity — sometimes used for rheumatoid arthritis (swollen, painful joints), lupus (inflammation affecting different parts of the body), psoriasis (a skin condition), or Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (inflammation in the bowel).
- Some steroid treatments — eligibility depends on the dose and length of treatment; not every steroid medicine qualifies.
Having arthritis, psoriasis or a bowel condition alone does not automatically qualify you: it may be the treatment that weakens your immune system. This is not a complete list. Our pharmacist can check your condition and medicines with you, or seek advice from your GP or specialist.

Your questions
Does qualifying for a flu vaccine mean I qualify for COVID-19 vaccination?
No. Each programme has its own criteria. The pharmacy can check both with you.
Can I have a flu vaccine at the same visit?
Often, yes, if both are suitable and available. Please ask when arranging your appointment.
Do I need to wait for an NHS invitation?
Eligible people do not need an invitation to use NHS booking. For an appointment at Ise Pharmacy, contact our team to confirm availability.
What if I am unwell?
If you have COVID-19, a high temperature or feel very unwell, wait until you have recovered and ask about rearranging your appointment.
